Abstract:Objective To investigate the association of TNF-α gene polymorphisms at position -238A/G and -308A/G with spine tuberculosis.Methods We randomly selected 58 cases of spinal tuberculosis patients and 50 normal people as control group from January to December in 2015 of Sixth Affiliated Hospital in Xinjiang Medical University.Gene polymorphisms with the -308A/G and-238A/G of TNF alpha were studied.Results There was significant difference in genotype frequencies of region at position -238GG and GA in TNF-α gene between spinal tuberculosis patients and control group,P<0.05.There was no significant difference in allele frequencies of region at position-238G and A between two groups,P>0.05.There was no significant difference in genotype frequencies of region at position-308GG and GA in TNF-α gene between two groups,P>0.05.There was significant difference in allele frequencies of region at position -308G and A between two groups,P<0.05.Conclusion TNF-α genes involved the development process of spinal tuberculosis,and gene polymorphism was susceptibility with TB,-308 A allele and -238 GA gene may be involved with the occurrence of spinal tuberculosis.
