Abstract:Objective To assess the effect of serum uric acid to the WOMAC index in the osteoarthritis (OA) patients. Methods A total 312 patients were included in the study.Serum acid and other indexes were detected for Pearson correlation analysis and multivariable linear regression model. Results The data indicated the serum uric acid correlated with WOMAC negatively (r=-0.824 8,P<0.000 1).The linear regression was found between gender,BMI,uric acid and WOMAC.The model is WOMAC=-7.811+0.363×(BMI)+0.002×(uric acid)+0.166×(gender).Conclusion gender,BMI and uric acid are associated with WOMAC.
