Abstract Objective To study the effects of blood management in UKA and provide a reference for optimizing its perioperative blood management. Methods A retrospective study was conducted on 273 patients who underwent UKA from January 2015 to December 2016,including 79 males and 194 females, aged 46~87 years old, with a mean age of (67.21±8.23)years old.The clinical data were collected and the blood volume was calculated according to the Nadler formula. The Gross equation was used to calculate the blood loss and the amount of occult blood loss at 3 hours,1,3 and 7 days after operation. The changes of bleeding and coagulation after UKA were expressed by line chart and three -line table, and the results were summarized and analyzed. Results The volume of visible blood lost was(111.98±58.00)mL,and the volume of hidden blood lost in 3h,1st,3rd and 7th day after operation was(48.45±10.35)mL,(54.68±20.13)mL,(75.36±10.21)mL,(49.49±21.36)mL and the volume of blood lost in 3h,1st,3rd and 7th day after operation was(160.43±38.52)mL,(166.67±36.89)mL,(187.35±60.31)mL,(161.48±57.97)mL and the average ratio of hidden blood lost to total bleeding was 53.4%.Coagulation index mostly fluctuated in the normal range, which can restore to preoperative level on the 7th day after surgery. Conclusion In the bleeding management conditions, hemorrhage will stop at 3 day after UKA,the blood loss will stop, too. It provides a reference point in time for the optimization of the use of hemostatic and anticoagulant.
