Abstract:Objective To analyzed the etiology, clinical manifestations and other clinical features of acute osteoarthrosis in children in recent years to provide theoretical basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods Retrospective analysis was performed on children with acute osteoarthrosis admitted to our hospital from January 2013 to January 2019.There were 42 males and 22 females. The average age was (67.4±47.6) months from 13d to 14 years old.Children aged 0 to 3,3 to 6,6 to 9,9 to 12 and 12 to 14 accounted for 32.8%,17.2%,20.3%,15.6% and 14.1%,respectively.The data collected included age, gender, symptoms and signs (skin redness, skin temperature increase, swelling, tenderness, dysfunction),imaging findings, infection indicators, and blood and pus culture results. Results The incidence of osteoarthritis infection was highest in children aged 0~3 years, and was higher in males than females.Osteomyelitis was most common in the femur and tibia, and joint infection was most common in the hip joint and knee joint. The early clinical manifestations of acute osteoarthrosis in children were mostly atypical.Only 57.8% of the children had a body temperature higher than 38.5℃ at admission, and 17.2% of the patients had only 1 to 2 typical signs at admission. In sepsis culture.Staphylococcus aureus was still the main pathogenic bacteria (47.2%),MRSA infection rate increased, and the positive rate of sepsis culture was 15.1%.Conclusion The incidence of acute osteoarthrosis in children is increased and the early symptoms are atypical. The clinical features, especially in terms of etiology and early symptoms, have changed. The infection rate of multi-drug resistant bacteria and the early symptoms have increased.
