Abstract:Objective To investigate the outcomes after arthroscopic 360 ° capsular release for adhesive capsulitis of shoulder.Methods A retrospective case series of 93 patients who underwent arthroscopic 360 ° capsular release were conducted from January 2015 to 2019.There were 34 males and 59 females.The mean age was (56.5±3.5) years.Arthroscopic 360 ° capsular release was performed in all patients.The range of motion of the shoulder and visual analogue score (VAS) were recorded before and after operation to evaluate the shoulder function.Likert scales were used to rank overall shoulder satisfaction.Results 93 patients completed a follow-up of 12~36,with an average of (18.3±4.3) months,with the duration of symptoms of 6~25 (9.2±3.5) months.There were no complications such as nerve injury and infection after operation,the mean forward flexion,abduction,external rotation and internal rotation were (135.0±8.2)°,(128.0±4.5)°,(63.2±6.4)°and (63.5±7.8)°.The mean VSA was (0.9±0.3) score,the overall shoulder satisfaction was 75.3% which improved significantly (P<0.05).Conclusion Arthroscopic 360° capsular release for adhesive capsulitis of shoulder is effective and safe.It can relieve the pain and improve the shoulder range of motion,which is an available operation way for adhesive capsulitis of shoulder and worth for clinical application.
